Session

Individuals (INSURANCE)

Joel Daugherty, LPC-S accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, United/Optum, Cigna/Evernorth, Aetna, and Compysch. Other staff clinicians accept United/Optum and Cigna/Evernorth only. Copays and deductibles may apply. Contact your insurance provider for more information. Andrew Duplechin, PLPC and Holli Jones, PLPC counsel individuals in-person in DeRidder, LA only or via telehealth.

Individuals (CASH PAY)

Cash pay rates range from $69 - $150 per session, depending on the counselor. Andrew Duplechin, PLPC and Holli Jones, PLPC counsel individuals in-person in DeRidder, LA only or via telehealth.

Individuals (MEDICAID)

We currently accept the following medicaid plans: Louisiana Healthcare Connections, Healthy Blue, and Amerihealth Caritas. Desaree Armand, PLPC and Rebecca Pettefer, PLPC counsel in-person or via telehealth. Holli Jones, PLPC sees individuals in-person in DeRidder, LA only or via telehealth.

Children/Adolescents (MEDICAID)

We currently accept the following medicaid plans: Louisiana Healthcare Connections, Healthy Blue, and Amerihealth Caritas. Rebecca Pettefer, PLPC and Holli Jones, PLPC counsel children ages 8+. Desaree Armand, PLPC counsels children ages 11+. Holli Jones, PLPC sees children in-person in DeRidder, LA only. Children are not seen via telehealth.

Couples (CASH PAY)

Insurance is not accepted for couples' counseling. Couples are counseled primarily by couples' specialist, Andrew Duplechin, M.A., PLPC, who charges $100 per session and sees couples via telehealth or in-person in DeRidder, LA after-hours and on weekends. Joel Daugherty, M.A., LPC-S, counsels couples in-person only in Lake Charles, LA at $150 per session with limited availability during normal ... Read More

Crisis Counseling within 48 Hours (CASH PAY)

Booking a crisis counseling appointment guarantees a session with Joel Daugherty, MA, LPC-S within 48 hours, usually at 8:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., or 5:30 p.m. the same or following business day (if these times don't accommodate your schedule, other options may be available but are not guaranteed). Individuals/Adolescents (INTERN $30)

Counseling session with a counselor-in-training (CIT) currently working towards a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Our CITs are held to the highest standards of professional ethics and confidentiality, and have demonstrated compentence in basic clinical skills. All interns are supervised by Joel Daugherty, LPC-S to ensure quality counseling standards.

Andrew Duplechin PLPC

Andrew Duplechin, M.A., PLPC sees clients in-person in DERIDDER only or via telehealth. He is the couples’ specialist at Lake Area Counseling. Andrew is trained in the Gottman method, which is a structured, research-based approach to couples therapy. When not working on his Ph.D. in counseling, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife, Elizabeth, and three children.
